One of my favorite pieces to wear in Spring is a jumpsuit. Jumpsuits are without a doubt a statement piece. This head to toe, all in one garment creates a head turning look, if styled the right way of course. People either love jumpsuits, or hate them. If you choose the wrong fit, or style it with the wrong accessories, your jumpsuit could go from an easy fashion statement, to a fashion disaster real quick.

Jumpsuits are trendy, and effortless and a great alternative to wearing a dress (if you’re like me and don’t love dresses). First things first when shopping for a jumpsuit you need to consider the look you’re going for. Are you looking for a casual jumpsuit that can be thrown on, or something more formal for a night out? Are you looking for a jumpsuit with sleeves or without? High neck, low cut, or off the shoulder?! The possibilities are endless, and once you know your requirements, you can start focusing on the prints, and details.

5 Tips To Perfecting The Jumpsuit Look

Add Heels: My favorite way to wear jumpsuits is with a heel. If you have short legs and feel like they’re drowning in the jumpsuit, any type of heel will help make your legs look elongated. If you’re petite like me heels also help make sure your jumpsuit doesn’t drag on the floor. But I also recommend getting a jumpsuit shortened if it’s extremely long. Because let’s be honest heels just can’t fix everything.

Add a Cardigan or Blazer: If you have a tank-top style jumpsuit, and want to make it “office appropriate” try adding a cardigan or blazer on top. If you’re wearing a solid color jumpsuit, try adding a cardigan or blazer with a print or pattern, to add to the look!

Add a Bomber Jacket, and Sneakers: If you’re going for a more casual, running errands look, I recommend pairing your jumpsuit with a bomber jacket and sneakers. To add to this laid back look, try throwing in a scrunchie! So 90’s but so cute.

Add a Leather Jacket: For a night out, you can’t go wrong with a leather jacket. A little edge to top off your jumpsuit look. Maybe a little red lipstick too!? Or is this too Sandy from Grease (LOL)?!

Add Statement Jewelry: I love that statement jewelry is SO in right now, especially statement earrings. Don’t be afraid to accessorize when wearing a jumpsuit, a fun necklace, or big hoops can really take your look to the next level!
